Lately, I have noticed the internships have been getting a bit of a bad rap. Students view them as “working for little or no money,” and only envision themselves fetching coffee and making copies. It’s important not to be so short sighted. The National Association of Colleges and Employers reports that: 60% of paid interns and 37% of unpaid interns are offered a job at the conclusion of their internships. Contingent IT Workforce

Contingent IT Workforce

But make no mistake, a phone interview is a “real” interview and if you do not complete it successfully, you’ll never move forward in the process.

While this is not a new problem, the realities of the IT market place make it more critical than ever to present your company in the most favorable light possible when competing for the best and the brightest.

Making a Great Hire

Making a Great Hire

This morning, I was talking with an accounting firm that is an SNI client about what makes someone a great hire. More often than not, a job candidate’s eventual success can be tracked back to the interview process. Here are three ways that hiring managers can increase the number of “great hires” they make.
